School Talks

The Korean Martial Arts Institute takes great pride in sharing the benefits of the martial arts with local school systems. At the request of the teachers in our communities we send our professional martial instructors into the class rooms to do school talks. A school talk consists of a martial arts lesson in the class room. The main focus of these lessons is the four pillars that our program is based on.

  1. Respect
  2. Discipline
  3. Focus / Listening
  4. Self Control

We also cover conflict avoidance, why no one wins in a fight, why school is important, and even some Karate techniques such as blocking. Students learn what it is to be a leader, and also how to support others that are in the same position. We even give each student a special gift just for participating.

So whether it’s the first step towards black belt, or just getting a better understanding of what the martial arts is all about, the Korean Martial Arts Institute takes great pride in using our school talks program as a way to reach out to the community.
