1 When do I wear my white uniform?
 

Your white uniform is considered your dress uniform. You may always wear your white uniform for regular class; however you must wear your white uniform for all testing, tournaments, and any World Tang Soo Do sponsored events, I.E. black belt camps, Region 8 tournament, black belt testing, and Gup testing.

When do I wear my black uniform?

 

Black uniforms may be worn for all regular classes, especially black belt club and masters club

When can I test for my next belt?

 

All Gups (colored belts) are required to have a minimum 3 months and 24 classes between tests. Black Belt (1st Dan) a student must have at least 30 months (2 ½ years) of training, at least 6 months as a Cho Dan Bo (blue belt) and 72 classes as a blue belt.

When do I take my written tests?

 

You will begin taking written test when testing for your Brown Belt. All test answers can be found in the Gup manual. All written tests must be completed prior to the physical test. A 70% or higher is required to pass.

When do I bow, and who do I bow to?

 

Bowing is an important show of respect. You must always bow to the flags before stepping on and off the training floor. Always bow to the head instructor, all black belts, and any partners you work with. If you’re not sure whether or not you should bow, then bow anyway just to be sure.

What do I do if I arrive early?

 

If you arrive for class early feel free to stretch in the back, or sit with your legs crossed. Take care not disturb any classes that may be in session.

What do I do if I arrive to class late?

 

If you arrive to class late, quickly and quietly come to the front of the class, bow to the instructor, and ask permission to join the class.
